A free, all-ages silent disco on the sand — in the months Tahoe forgets about. Two Saturdays. One beach. Headphones on, lake in front of you.
Not the Fourth of July. Not Presidents' Day. The quiet weekends when the lake is still ours — when locals can actually get a parking spot and visitors get the real North Shore.
Spring thaw. Beach opens for the season with a sunset set and a late-night headphone party under the lights.
Fall color. The last warm weekend before the first snow — the send-off for summer.
Wireless headsets at the tent, free with an ID or a phone. Three colored channels, three DJs, you pick the room.
From the outside it's a crowd dancing to nothing. Inside the headphones it's the loudest party on the lake. All ages, stroller-friendly, dog-tolerant.
GR8 closes each session with a live set built that weekend during the residency — new music, first play, right there.
Each session is paired with a residency weekend: visiting producers, dancers and filmmakers land in North Tahoe, set up a mobile studio, make a record and shoot the footage — then premiere it on the beach. It's the public-facing side of AIRB n' Beats.
Pick a lane. Everything lands directly with GR8.
"Tahoe's best weekends are the ones nobody books. That's when the locals come out and the lake is quiet. We're throwing the party for those days."
